Think it was to do with the exits more than it being wooden. Basically in the event of a fire we'd have all burned while trying to escape or the stairs would have collapsed (so shit were they).

I thought it was where the North Stand was now, i am guessing it's early 20th century. I don't think there were any seats on Shrivvy road until the old Aldershot Tatoo stand was purchased in 1958. |
