DEMO AT ROVERS?

If the board are still dragging their heels in a couple of weeks time, should we stage a mass demonstration after the game?

I think that if the board are not willing to listen or do not take the consortium seriously then we should do mass protests after every home game until they go!!

Of course there should be a demonstration at that game and all subsequent games until those mother fuckers sling their hooks.  Why would anyone not want there to be a demonstration???

Wow that will really help ...... all the players hearing the discontent (and reading of the protests in the media).... and then the board throw their toys out of the pram with no deal done ... remind me again how that helps?

Somehow we need to find a way to get them talking to people so that investment/takeovers can actually be a reality .... I sense perhaps that this is not the way to make it work.

i think we should wait a while tbh. the Rovers game is too soon. it will take time for any takeover to happen so lets be patient

Perhaps if people genuinely want to protest then there are other ways to do it ..... protest peacefully outside people's business addresses (away from the players) or send mass mail to each director .. they will have to open them all to establish what they are.

These are ways to protest peacefully without affecting the team, and cannot be seen as overly aggressive.

I am sure the furtive minds on here can think of other suggestions too!

   Watching some of the shit we have to put up with, from those who claim to be professional footballers, I'd be up for including a few of these in a demonstration.

Which is why I said applaud the players off the pitch and them start demonstrating.

You ask how it would help? I would imagine that if enough people let them know they weren't wanted, they might, finally take the hint.

Or we could sit back, do nothing and just post on internet forums when we're unhappy with they way our club is run.

you overestimate modern footballers, i sincerely doubt they give a toss what happens at the club. if anything, they're likely to welcome new owners as they might not only get paid on time but perhaps get a payrise.

it's perfectly possible to support the team on the pitch completely whilst illustrating dissatisfaction with the management off the pitch. booing a player off the pitch and calling for the board to put up or clear out is entirely different and couldn't be further apart.

however, we first need to attempt to get the board engaging in sensible and constructive discussion before any protests. i believe that any major displays should be left until after christmas/new year to at least show the club that the fans have some respect left for SSW and allow him to leave with grace and his head held high.

the reality is that regardless of protests or not, the forthcoming months probably won't be pretty and unrest amongst fans will be commonplace.

 Its easy....you go round the front along the pitch and out through the club shop.....like Board members did to avoid the small anti King demo.

  Think it would be more constructive in the first instance, to have another open meeting, where fans can be addressed by the likes of Mike Wilks, as to the state of play and constructive suggestions can be raised as to ways of ratcheting up the pressure....
