agree he is not the only poor defender, but i think if he wasn't as quick as he is he wouldn't be a pro footballer,he lacks many basic qualitys.

i cant list all his fuck ups but generally his positioning is poor(watch replays of goals conceded).distribution is poor(90% of the time)
doesn't hold back line well, gets sent off, gives away need less free kicks after losing possession(regularly).
has electric pace that gets him out of trouble though(sometimes)
but he generally lacks concentration.
and as i have said before if he wasn't quick would be a park player.

Distribution I'll give you, it isnt great....but if you want perfect defending go watch Chelsea.

You talk about Ifil as if, he is the only one who makes mistakes, at the moment he is the best of a terrible bunch.

i suggest you read posts thoroughly then make comments about them.
ifil is by no means the only poor player but he has a habit of making crucial mistakes (already listed).surely there is no denying that?
furthermore he has been sent off 3 times this season, bad luck or bad mistakes?any pro should be able to pass the ball!
i dont need to give examples of fuck ups as it happens on a regular basis.
having said that he had greatly improved in recent matches but his and the most of the team in general have lost the form they had recaptured.
for me the only one who has made a rapid increase in form is cureton.

3 red cards, all for two yelllows. Seen them all Donny was harsh, first yellow yesterday was harsh. 2nd yellow at Brentford made no sense to me....anyway

so, you say Ifil makes fuck ups on a regular basis, so regular you cant even remember when the last one was?

he looses possession every game, kicks the ball into oblivion every game,go's missing every game, doesn't hold the line every game.
is that enough for you.
luckily alot of his mistakes go unpunished, others dont.
getting sent off 3 times isn't unlucky

its not easy for the centre backs when we had shit centre midfielders, the centre backs have to close down the opposition centre midfielders while still trying to mark the centre forwards

didn't go to forest but have seen the goals on tv, and ifil looked out of position for a few of them. same as against rotherham he doesn't mark goal-side at corners! is he told to do this (zonal marking) or does he just do it because he's a retard?!

the centre-backs cant be blamed for everything though, and as someone else pointed out all the goals came from their midfield. why weren't we tracking their runners!? the sooner paul smith's back the better. sort it out iffy!

Nicky Southall's a right winger isn't he? I wonder who usually bothers marking right wingers... Wink

Is it just me or is anyone else a little concerned that we're pinning all of our survival hopes on one fella, Paul Smith, who's only really had a good couple of games.  Don't get me wrong I like the look of the bloke but I don't think I've seen enough of him to tell whether his contribution will keep us up.
