Sad. A true maverick

Very sad and played in the era when flamboyant players were the norm

Alan Hudson, Frank Worthington, George Best, Stan Bowles, Tony Currie etc

A victim of the heading/dementia link. Really sad,was a good player who once scored all 4 goals in a 2-2 draw

That's a real sad one. He was a lovely feller. Served him many times in our shop and he became a great friend to all the staff. The most unaffected celebrity I've ever met. This is a real blow

Sad

I'm sure I saw an interview with him recently and it was sounding positive. Maybe a repeat.

Sad

I'm sure I saw an interview with him recently and it was sounding positive. Maybe a repeat.

There was a couple of recent programs where it was focussed on his treatment and him getting physio back to being able to ride a bike etc. It did look like he was on the road to recovery but reading between the lines when he said he wasn't going to say what type of cancer he had I did fear the worst. Both of the Hairy Bikers come across as great guys, sans ego and I love watching their stuff on TV.

RIP Dave.
