Ground redevelopment update from Mr Morsehead sounds….whatever the opposite of exciting is
They've been consistent in saying boxes in the drs were step one.

That anything else could rely on getting permission to build residential/hotel on presumably the car park isn't a massive surprise.

How you then use the cash to get the club regularly generating more income rather than a one off windfall is going to be 'interesting '.

Would have thought that any ‘permissions’ would have been discussed and ratified at the time of the ground purchase.

Buying the ground and then not getting planning to do anything is pointless.

Any serious organisation wouldn’t be trying to self fund such a large project

Serious organisations pay their debts on time though, and have access to credit

Depends what you are doing, the up front fees to get planning for something like a hotel or big residential scheme would runs into £10's of k's (if not £100's k) if not more these days, plus with these things a pound to a penny they will need substantial revisions once you have consent, it's all money tied up.

Not read the piece but looking at the post below the quoted one its plain mental to think any developer self funds such a project, its gonna be a JV or corporate financing if one has the rating to get it.

If we can find some red paint, or don't mind reverting the entire ground to the old Arkells seating style, Everton should have some going spare soon, and then maybe Man Utd, although theirs maybe a little water damaged by then.

It will never happen.

What I could see happening under this lot though is they start to build housing/a hotel on the car park and then funds will have conveniently dried up. So we're left with a brand new estate on the car park with a crumbling CG in the background. Bit like the speedway

Won't ever happen if the Council (remotely) have their wits about them, its why Power never got his consented houses without building the training ground.

I can see a Monaco type of ground. A development with hotel etc, and the pitch on the roof.
