Don't get me wrong - I fucking love a good burger. And I am also rather partial to large meals.

But WTF is it with these huge burgers so large that you can't possibly open your mouth wide enough to eat? Like this:

What's the fucking point? How is one supposed to eat it without sitting on the fucker first?

Pricks.

You pull the stick out and press the bun down with your hand.  Smiley
I get your point though.

I suggest you don’t watch Diners, Drive-ins & Dives then. I do agree with the OP. I suppose it’s to show the customers that they’re getting something exceptional rather than just laying it out on one level on a plate.

It does. It looks amazing.

It's eating it that's the problem.

Just woke up after a big night. Right now that burger is the salve I crave. They are a fucking pain though.

To be fair they never look like that in practice. In the photos, a Big Mac looks like it would struggle to fit in your mouth, but once served it's about half the height. Food photography is like witchcraft.

I have seen many like that. I end up having to dismantle it just to eat it. It's something I check for no before going to a new place.

After applying some slight downward pressure, I think I could get this in my gob.

I always have to dismantle a burger first in order to get rid of the fucking tomato.

Absolutely no place for them in burgers

Burgers need to be wider, not taller.

And pickles.

But I always tell them that I want one without. If you're in a fast food joint, you have the added benefit of having a fresh one made for you instead of those that are pre-made and left in the warming thingamy for 15 minutes.
