Ok so I've scrolled through the thread and no one has asked the question - why is it called loathed strangers?  I can't be the one the only one who has no clue... Or can I?

Its a reference to the Nick Hornby book - Fever Pitch and the 1969 cup final when he became aware of the Swindon fans.

Ah, right thank you. I have read Fever Pitch - brilliant book - it was a long time ago though so had forgotten that little passage. Good work with the podcast anyway...

...I love the bit where he says something along the lines of..."I've examined the contract, scoured the small print and there are no loop holes, no way out"... I know I've hopelessly mis-quoted but it really does encapsulate what being a Town fan (or indeed any club) means...

Paul Bodin is up next.

Started talking around 2100 and kept going until close to 2300.

What a guy.

Sound seems tolerable too.

I've enjoyed them all so far, but looking forward to this one the most, as it's my era when i went to most of the games.

De Vita picked up a hell of a Scottish accent during his spell at Livingston! 🙂

I never knew de vita was a proper Italian, which sounds silly now. I thought he was Italian in the same way vigoroux (born in Camden) is Chilean

I try to not make them time sensitive (monthly season episode aside) so you can listen days/weeks/months later.

It’ll slow down eventually when the contacts try up...!

They're brilliant, Rich. The Bodin one probably the best yet.

Thanks.
