My tip. Start with a white banner and get some red paint.
But the red:white ratio favours the banner being in red, surely? It'll be easier to stencil the white onto the red. I'll have to cut up the 3m wide image and print it on about 40 A3 pieces of paper unless I can find an A0 printer or something like that.

Part of me hopes you do a really good job, and another part that you end up doing the Jan Åge Fjørtoft version of this.

Turns out my Dad's work has an A1 printer... so I need to cut the stencil up into A1 size chunks and stick them together... So that £35 + paper costs for his business and we should be good to go! I might have to recruit some mates from work to help paint it on... I just measured it out an it's a bloody huge banner. 4 meters is actually huge... hahahaha

I must admit I never thought a discussion regarding sewing would make it onto here...
Looks great though!

Good work, JayBox. Good idea, great enthusiasm and hopefully a well executed paint job!
I love a good flag and banner at a football match.

Haha, cheers. It's bloody huge though. So it could be spread out over the Stratton Bank, held above our heads in the Town End or be a surf across the DRS where it'll be pretty hard to miss.

Good effort!
For your next one, could you do Chalkie White with his shorts pulled up to his nipples, and then Duncan Shearer with his clenched fist celebration in front of the Oxford Road. Nice.

JayBox could have a whole team of Legends floating around the ground/being waved in a couple of years! The Don could just have a big moustache over the advertising hoardings...

I am talking to STFC about whether they can supply me with a high res version of this image for this purpose Speaking of which, they've just got back to me with the options attached below. I am still hunting down the celebration of Nathan...

No it wasn't. It was taken by another photographer. The photos I linked above were sent to me by the club, at the minute it doesn't seem like they have it either.

It's got to be iconic images or nothing otherwise banners can date quickly.
If high res exists for the following images...
Shaun Taylor straight faced celebration vs. Leicester Steve White vs. Gillingham (arms aloft) Calderwood carried off by the fans vs. Chester Don Rogers vs. Arsenal
These would be cool.

I'll send these over to the club & the Trust and see if they can source anything using their channels. Cheers!
