You have to see it from the loon's perspective.

He signs a contract based upon having resources, which we now know were a tad unrealistic.  Black has enough and whips the rug from under his feet by selling Richie and in the loon’s view he completely derails what was going to be a successful season.  Ok, that was an overreaction on his part but we all know how he operates.

Personally picking the bones out of it all I think it will get thrown out.  The claim relates to a previous owner and previous boards actions and with all the will in the world I cant see their ever being a contract with cast iron assurances over player sales.  As much as Wray may have pandered to Di Canio no lawyer worth their salt would have let that sort of agreement get passed them.

The interesting point for me is post-Richie, Di Canio claims he waited for a call from the new board that (allegedly) never materialised.  Interesting to see if any of the claim relates to this period as its always been a little hazy with conflicting stores from all parties.

Doesn't that tell us PDC had a decent case, and the board of today didn't want it all coming out in the wash ?

Or am I reading too much into this ?

Maybe one evening Sam had a shandy or two to many and tried it on with Jed's missus?

I reckon they both had a decent case, lets be happy its now sorted.

It was a messy scenario so lets be happy that both parties have done the decent thing....if the reports are in fact true.

In a small way it's a shame as it would have been really interesting to hear the evidence. In a much larger way it is jolly good that both parties have done the decent thing.

Is anyone going to downgrade his 'absolute cunt' status now?

We don't have the money to fund yet another court case. Obviously.
