Think that's the best move for him.

I think if he went straight to a premier league side he would struggle.
Eh? He's been playing Championship football with Burnley.

Think Sippo meant if the Hull deal had gone through Steve.

He'll get a look in in the England side now, just you wait. Dirty 'Arry will have a word with his friends in the FA at the 'Gentlemans Country Club' before the selection starts.

Why not, he could hardly do any worse

Thought he meant QPR are a step up in size and expectation from Burnley and can be seen as a further stepping stone to life in the Prem (even if QPR don't go up and he has to move again).

How long does he need to play Championship football before he's ready for top flight?

Not saying i agree with Sippo,he would be like Le Fondre i reckon, give him the ammo and he will score.

Like Le Fondre other aspects of his game may not suffice at present..love to see him get a chance next season with the Hoops.

Charlie really needs to up his bad boy record, if he's going to step up to Prem level...a bit of a record for a scrap in a Swindon night club is a start...but lacks class. The move to London should give plenty of opportunities...is Joey Barton still technically an R's player?

I don't really see how, as some seem to be suggesting, that another championship season will make much of a difference.  I think he could score double figures in the premier league if given the chance - this season or next.

Must be easier to score in London than it is in Burnley.

Reportedly 2.5m.

Fitton and co get 3% of the 15% by memory.... Sam tweeted a good breakdown of it a while back when he was on his way to Hull.

Assuming that's 3% from the 15%, that's £75k split between at least 4 of them? So 15/20 grand? I wonder what their total net contribution (all cash in - all cash out) was over the period. Even with this added to the mix, I'd be surprised if it was a positive number.

Exactly!

Hard to hold a grudge on anyone getting a bit back when money comes in having put the cash up in the first place, I include Black and future Jed in that - assuming he's invested.
