from the official site, if anybody needed confirmation of the dire straits that we are in at the moment here it is. the nationwide banner looks huge infront of our squad only 18 players FOR THE ENTIRE SQUAD! even i am shocked. Its only when you seen it in pics that you really realise how much poo we are in. So much as a cold amongst any of our players and we are screwed

I thought the poses said a lot.

That and the front row has the combined age of the Springfield retirement home.

Big difference is the number of youth teamers in there...

Look at the front line of last season, all the players gone

Pook isn't a youth teamer, he's a professional and so is Bulman (albeit on a month-to-month)

I still class them as youth teamers

Bulman, Lapham & Pook have what less than 10 games between them

What I should have said really was, the big difference is the number of players fresh out the youth team

Pook's good enough, I'm pretty confident he's capable of performing at this level consistently. Lapham's impressed me as well but I don't think he'll be involved much and Bulman won't last longer than a month before Kingy brings another keeper in.

Shakes, Comyn-Platt and Smith haven't played that many senior games either, do you consider them youth teamers?

Has anyone seen anything of young Holgate when he's not running people over?

I thought he may be one of the ones that may be on the fringes this season but he doesn't seem to have figured yet.

Pook impressed me last year, whether he can keep that up over a period of time I dont know, same with Lapham

Bulman, I have no faith in and is purely a cheap option.

Shakes, Comyn-Platt and Smith have all come from teams in leagues above us which means they will have had a much higher standard of coaching. The fact that the likes of Bolton took them on says alot about them to start with.

Fuck me its worse than I thoiught, Sandy Gray is turning out for us next season.

I'd like to say that in the likely event of a disasterous season I'll still continue to go and post....in fact clocking the drop offs might make good sport.
