Nice that it only took rumors to start surfacing Saturday that he had gone when he was named in the Blackpool squad - I suppose 1 out of the door, need a few more to follow him

You mean asides from the fact it was announced officially several hours before any squad details were released?

To be fair I didn't find out until I reached the ground on Saturday, I was already travelling by the time it hit twitter, so it may have been the same for others (albeit they were on the way to the pub rather than the ground)

I wasn't surprised to see him go as he was playing with the kids on Thursday(?) and he hasn't got on the pitch in a couple of games (although been a sub). I would say he was one of those players that Power hoped he would find his feet here and bang a few goals in but just not worked out for him here.

Ok, a couple of hours before, but it still stands, the deal would have been done days before with him having to sign and be registered by Friday lunchtime to play on the Sat.

So with the 7 loans now in the squad
Jones
Gladwin
Colkett
Dabo
Feruz
Ince
Ajose

which 2 miss out on the squad altogether? Feruz is of course the obvious one but who else? Jones has begun to create a good partnership with Branco so I can only hope we somehow sign him on a perm but seeing as he signed a 5yr contract before joining it appears unlikely

Well you have to assume now that the Chelsea lads are not on a must play deal or it'd be insane to get in two more loans. In which case Colkett and Feruz I suppose, but harsh on the former

Didn't Jones go off injured on Saturday?

Feruz for AJose
Ince to play the defensive midfield role, Thompson to play in the back four instead of Jones or Dabo

The problem comes in two games time when Thompson is injured again (as seems inevitable)

I can picture the scenario of needing a win from the final game to stay up. Charlton........

I think this is what Reg hopes for every year, he's bound to get a bit antsy when it's February and we're not playing in someone's back garden yet.
