Keep an eye on the Sony outlet. Not much there at the mo, but they've just released a new E series Vaio and are listing the old models on their clearance site every now and again.

https://outlet.sony.co.uk/shop/VAIO-Clearance/E-Series-14-15-17/

They're brand new, not refurbished.

Personally I'd steer clear of anything branded as packard bell, they have a pretty poor reputation. ASUS, Samsung, Sony, Lenovo and Dell are where i'd be looking.

The Dell outlet is very good but the stock is constantly changing so you have to keep your eye out

Lappie reliability by brand. Three years on, I do wish they would update it

Right, as my bloody wife and kids have fucked the laptop, lets try again.  Any advice on all in one desktops.  Any good and cheap ones.  I always seem to be buying computers.

As an ASUS owner, this makes me happy. Had mine for a couple of years and never had any problems at all.

What?

he means in his experience you have been lucky to have had no problems with your HPs, you should try to extend this to having a shot at the lottery

I got a Vaio. Clearance model, but brand new. i5, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, BluRay drive, dedicated graphics. Paid £450 for it.

Keep an eye out here: https://outlet.sony.co.uk/shop/VAIO-Clearance/E-Series-14-15-17

Look for ones marked 'Clearance' not 'Refurbished'.
