I've got an Acer Aspire i3, 4GB, 500GB HDD - Got it at the time all this i3 & i5 was just coming out and i5 was out of my price range, never had a problem with it being slow and I never shut Football Manager... Scary to think how quick i5 would be  |

Well Intel have announced Ivy Bridge this morning, so hopefully the Sandy Bridge chips will come down in price a bit over the next week or so.

Anyone got/had a 17" laptop before? Are they a bit too big/cumbersome?
I've gone for a deal that was too good to refuse, but worried it's going to be a bit big and heavy.

I have had one before... as i don't rellay use it for travel purposes it was fine. I doubt if i had to lug it about on a train commute I'd have been a fan, but for lap or desk-based use at home it was fine.

I found the 17" Fujitsu Siemens laptop I had very cumbersome to use even at home (although not on a desk) and was pathetic for travelling with.
Although I have the same issues with my 15" Dell laptop when trying to use it on trains or planes.
