Gills fan in peace....

The Game will go ahead with fans. Exactly the same thing happened earlier in the season for our cup game v Stoke
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-16448620

I wouldn't be surprised to see the time change but our games against each other always start early so nothing new there.

As for our shirts next year...a shambles hopefully with no interest from the fans.

Congrats on the promotion this season...hope Mr Rooney has been playing well. If you let us win a week on sat we'll try and knock Oxford out the way. If not see you the season after next probably back in league 2.

Hilarious.

Just been an interview on SSN with a bloke from their council.

I only flicked on at the end so didn't hear much but it might be repeated..

Just listened to a Kent Council spokesperson say that for an ordinary game there are 9 police in attendance and for the Swindon game they will need to provide 21 plus a commander.

Now, 21 seems very few to me, especially bearing in mind the last time we went down there

Last time there seemed to be dozens of them on every corner. If they're really arguing about paying the wages of 21 police then that's insane - think how much they'd lose in revenues.

Medway Council say the game will not go ahead unless the club meet the policing costs and at the moment arrangements with the police is done on an ad hoc bases from game to game. Fixture list springs to mind ! Sky also told the council man that on the Swindon forums it's saying Swindon fans are still going to travel to celebrate outside the stadium regardless.

As well as paying back the season ticket holders the cost of the tickets, I am not sure how many season ticket holders they have but it must be about 2,000 at £20 a ticket roughly.

What happened last time we went though?

All i remember was We lost 5-0 [hideous] and no one was able to buy any pegs or lucky heather.

Or has there been a game since, forgive me if there has  Smiley

If all Gillingham squad players sold their caravans it would cover the extra costs.

to be honest, if everyone on here just created a thread and said that they were going to go whether we were allowed in or not, it would be sorted within a few hours
