Surprised so many have had it, was unaware it was such a popular procedure.
Not a road I would ever want to go down, personally.

It has indeed - I was hoping for reassurance and hope - and now I am even more scared Well, if you were to ask me if I'd go through it again... For the pain - No! For the care free shags - Definitely!

I had it done a few years ago at the Doctors surgery in Windsor Road. Was quite a bizarre experience really, lying there with trousers round the ankles, doctor & nurse poking around the ball bag, quite relaxed, chatting about mobile phones I think. Had a bit of pain for a day or 2, bruising went after about a week. Only real problem I had was flushing the live ones out of the system - took about 8 months of shagging (I'm married, so that means 8 shags) and regular tugging before I got the all clear.

Personally, I am rather adverse to the thought of sharp objects near my meat and two veg.

This thread has been an eye opener. Definitely feeling a tad queasy.
Not sure how anyone relatively young could opt for this....what if life circumstances change and you want more kids but can't?

Agreed! I take it the procedure cannot be reversed? I don't think i'd ever have it done. Personally, anyone going near little Colin can fuck right off!! On the plus side, it saves on buying jonnies. How much is the procedure? My balls aches from just reading this thread...

It can be reversed in theory but it is not 100% guarenteed to be successful. On the flip side, there are rare cases where the tubes re-attach themselves and reverse it naturally, but this is very rare. I got mine done on the NHS, but I think its more common these days to pay a small fee - dont think its based on size of your bollocks though

I have a little sister who's existence proves that reversal can work... Now, if the commentary previous makes your eyes water, I have it on good authority from an ex-colleague that the reattachment procedure is even more painful. So much so that they have to do it under general anaesthetic... *gulp*

Actually I had mine done exactly 20 years ago yesterday! I know that because I had to miss the home game with Middlesboro on Feb 29th 1992 and that pissed me off as I was a season ticket holder then! I was 26 at the time and had filled 2 prams and decided that was enough and I never regret that decision not for 1 minute, I have since left my ex wife and married a new one who has not got any kids of her own (her 2 are adopted) and the fact that I cannot father any more has not come into the equation at all, she doesnt want any and I don't want any more. the only downside that they dont tell you at the time is that you are a bit more susceptible to getting testicle cancer in the future. Allegedly.

My bruv had this done a few years ago and found it not too bad until the following morning in bed he felt a dull ache around the sack region and woke to find his cat curled up asleep on his bollocks.

My real dad had the snip after my bro and myself were born. He then split from my mum, took up home with another woman and had a reversal which didn't work. This meant his new wife became very bitter towards me and my brother and things have never been like they should have. I have no relationship with my dad.
