Also, just been having a look around at Championship squads for CBs... Palace's Adam Barrett (ex Southend captain) would be a top signing for us.
Worryingly the more I look around the more likely it is that Austin is going, but still can't see it myself.

There's a lot of smoke for there to be no fire isn't there. Was told a few weeks ago he "wanted out", but while I don't doubt somebody was told this as second hand information I laughed it off as ambition. Hope there isn't more to it now! Also he alegedly had a bit of a training ground bust up with JPM recently too. But its all speculation. Grapevine stuff and blatently no more than fan tittle tattle. What's that? Lalalalalalal I can't hear you. One things for sure. No way will he be going anywhere without replacement. Pericard an Dossevi up front? I'll dig out the division 4 away guide again. |

Agreed, it's problematic to loan him out now. Why would they loan him if they hadn't agreed a fee already? And what if the other clubs then backed out? Or worse (or better depending on your pov!), what if he did well and another club came in with a higher offer? Charlie'll still be playing for "The Town" for a few more months at the very very least I suspect...  |
