Yeah it's been very good so far. There's only 2 episodes left... I dunno if it's a break in series, or end of series, but in the last show <MINOR SPOILER> they alluded to a possible cure in the reel for next weeks episode.
Hopefully they'll just get their hopes up before someone else is ruthlessly picked off and the series is left on a cliff hanger... Because there is so much more that can be done!

There's only 6 episodes in the first season, think they're being shown here about the same time as in the US.
Another 13 episodes coming next year.

Just been getting on this. Got through the first three last night. Cracking stuff.
I'm sure there's hundreds of little references in it that I don't get, I'm not as good on my zombie films as I should be, but I'm a sucker for the Triffid style waking up in a hospital opener so I was sold pretty quick.
Definitely the most promising new tv series I've seen since Sherlock, but if it hadn't been for that we'd be going back much further.
Although I'm reminded now why I often wait several series before getting into shows. How fucking long am I going to have to wait for series 2 once I've finished burning through the rest of the series this afternoon? (May have been mentioned in the thread already but I'm weary of looking back because of potential spoilers )

Series 2 is showing early next year, march or april i think according to the fox website, they have filmed about 80% of the second series.

Wikipedia says they're starting the writing process early next year with an October 2011 air date expected. it links here as the source http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/12/03/walking-dead-darabont-hurd-writers/ but I haven't had a chance to read because the apprentice is starting.

Finally got round to watching the first episode of this last night. Seems like good stuff, I'll probably get through the series by the end of the week.

Its an AMC show and as far as I know it'll start next September/October when most new season TV starts in the US. They're still writing it too, not filming as there were rumours that Frank Darabont fired the whole writing staff. http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/12/03/walking-dead-darabont-hurd-writers/

24 for me. You saw the "ending" yeah? You saw "all your questions answered"? Lost was superb until they writers realised they couldn't answer any of the questions they'd created and finished it by saying, "Yeah, we made it all up to make good money from Advertisements. There never was a story, just loads of disparate elements and no conclusion worth waiting for." I only wish I'd never wasted a second on that shit.
