That's the trouble with listening to it on the radio, you have no idea if a player looks tired or not and question things that actually you have no idea of. I'm glad the reasons were genuine and not inline with any TEF speculation.

That could be re-phrased to "One has no idea what the fuck is going on when Vic Morgan is commentating"

agree about douglas, gave away the ball far too cheaply far too many times, a couple of occassions really put us in trouble. I would play prutton instaed of him next week.

Don't think I've ever seen us lose at home, so the odds are good for next Saturday

Let's not panic. In actual fact I know people have spoken about Millwall starting poor last season but so did Saints. I don't think they won any of their first 10 games actually. There's a long long way to go yet.

Strangely although we could go bottom tomorrow I am less concerned than this time last week.

Good point today.

It isn't inevitable that because we may be at the foot of the table by tomorrow we'll stay there.

Nevertheless, a look at last season's table at the same time shows that mostly clubs finish more or less in the same sort of area, but there are exceptions Norwich went from mid tablish to win the league and Stockport the other way. I'm discounting Soton because of the deduction.

But Saints without the deduction would have still been in the bottom 4 after 10 games. And they'd have finished in the top 6 after the final game....

Its a valid point, I just think though that the deduction distorts the usual way a season evolves.

As I've said it isn't inevitable we'll stay down here....just that it usually indicates a less good season.  We're still in the JPT mind.....
