8. In August, adventurer Stuart Kettell, 49, rolled a Brussels sprout to the top of Mt. Snowdon using only his nose, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support. Fucking hell, that's mental, fair play to him! 10. The heaviest ever sprout was grown in 1992 and weighed 8.3kg (18lb/3oz). That's a cabbage

I have grown to love the sprout as I have got older
That's quite common. As a child, you have a stronger sense of the sour taste of cruciferous vegetable which is gradually lost as you get older. Fun fact: Most cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, sprouts & broccoli are all cultivated from the same plant species, Brassica oleracea. (Source: I listened to a podcast all about broccoli recently)

Evidence....this looks to me like the incipient creep of Trump/Brexit, post-truth, fake news into the TEF.

Indeed. My love of sprouts was nurtured by watching them grow on the old man's vegetable patch, and then being dispatched for picking duties before a Sunday dinner. Somehow this cultural involvement overcame my apparent genetic inhibition. Who'd have thought it? Of course, biotech companies like Monsanto, who produce genetically modified foods, are not doing it for profit but an altruistic desire to heed the words of Ure and Geldof, and "feed the World"

It's that time of year where chefs try to convince you that sprouts can be tasty, but cooking them in bacon. And what not. Fuck off. You can paint a price a peice of shit gold but it's still a piece of shit.

Do you know what makes sprouts in bacon even better? Removing the sprouts. Stupid vegetable. Its up there with celery as a pointless food. At least celery has a football song about it. Nobody sang at football about sprouts.
