When you dig a hole why doesn’t the dirt you’ve dug out fill the hole properly. Looks like a burial mound.
Because it was previously more compacted.

Displacement and air pockets tiny though they are. Consider this. My mum is up in Christchurch cemetery, when we laid her to rest the mound was as you’d expect large. Within weeks it had shrunk, months, almost disappeared and now three decades later flat as a witches tit. She is still there and so is the coffin we laid her in, just no mound. On the upside, you won’t have to wait 30 years for your to level out. Go down the pub, not worth the worry 😁

Cutting my thumb tip, the sort of cut that you can feel involves about 4 inches of blade You don't realise how much you use your thumb tip until something like this happens. I did this a few months back. Completely understand your pain!

Fingers are like that, you don't realise how much you use them until you can't.
I smashed the tip of my ring finger a couple of years ago, breaking the bone totally, you would think you never use the ring ringer...well I can tell you that you do, all the time without realising it!

FB is one big toxic cesspit of attention-seeking nonsense and bunch of idiots spouting deliberately inflammatory opinions. Any function it has that was once useful (photo sharing, events, keeping up with old friends) can now be replicated with other products without the bullshit. There's literally no point in being on FB.

I came off it for around 5 years and deleted my account. I rejoined in 2017 due to a spate of burglaries in my area and my cousin doing a blog on there when fighting terminal cancer. I find it useful for upcoming gigs, events etc and some nice things people share but agree with your points. I think it would be a better experience without 'friends' on it. I don't look at it much but when I do it seems to be the same people saying the same shit on repeat.

Facebook is the curse.
In work, we have students who have been on it (at home) and we have to deal with the safeguarding side of the issues. No social media is available in school. So much bullying goes on.
We also have parents complaining and slagging of staff members.
It really isn't worth all the hassle
