Mrs Bogus had to run into town to get some medication. I drove her in, and waited for her on the double yellows behind Tesco (outside the school clothes shop). Saw a parking attendant who looked like he was writing my reg number down, so drove round the block and pulled up again when I thought he’d gone. He turned up again, started doing the same so i drove off again
Am I likely to be getting a fine through the door In a few days? Never really had much experience of this - didn’t see him taking any photos, which I would have thought he would have done. I was in the car at all times, though I guess that probably doesn’t matter

Would also add that I accept I’m in the wrong, just asking if it sounds like I was properly caught or not. And mrs bogus medication hadn’t even been delivered

I have coke, E, booze and have been invited to a party.
But, I'm sick, so I'll be having a quiet one at home instead and likely going to bed early. Happy new fucking year everybody.

Bogus - they can send it to you, but only if they've issued it and then you drive off. I reckon he was probably just noting you with a view to ticket you if it persisted.
no way of knowing for 100% sure ------- looks like I got away with a very stupid and accidental 70 in a 50. missed a turning and in the panic missed the 70->50 change.

You would have thought they could at least spell Midnight correctly!
Agreed. But when the world is on fire would that be worth worrying about?

Government contractors/employees
Had to go an have my fingerprints taken today as part of the Green Card process, which are then sent to the FBI for a criminal records check. First, after putting UK down on the country of citizenship section I was given a lecture on how this refers to the Ukraine and I'd cause all manner of problems if they'd simply have taken my writing and entered it. Next she starts having a go at me for resisting the finger prints or it's my fault for having sweaty hands (which I tend to have) and it's not her fault if I have to come back a second time (on checking after, as this had me worried, it's pretty common and if they have concerns an ink version should be taken or another individual should try).
A proper Carol Beer, but so has everyone else been I have had to engage with in the Gov so far. On the streets I do just fine, because I sound like those lovely British actors they see in films and I'm the right skin tone (have had people tell me I am not an Immigrant, not one of "those"), but it really is sometimes like having jumped into the fire from a frying pan having moved over from the UK, I mean GBR.

I see this has reared it head again https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-50969168 As per last time isn't the point rather being missed and glossed over here the League Against Cruel Sports investing its pension funds in firms involved in animal testing.

yeah, that's unethical but hardly a legal issue.
this guy however....
"His beliefs affect much of his everyday life. He will, for instance, walk rather than take a bus to avoid accidental crashes with insects or birds"

TBF the legal issue arises because when he pointed out they were behaving unethically, they sacked him. That is a legal issue

Caroline Barker. I can't put my finger on what it is but as a regular listener of the Totally Football League podcast (with our very own Sam Parkin) listening to her really winds me up!

He sounds like a fucking nob, but without people like this nothing would ever change. Fair play to him, I say. His goal seems noble enough and we don't have to agree with him to defend his beliefs.
