Actually, there is nothing to suggest that this was an organised attack which, so far, suggests very strongly that this was the act of an individual loon.

I am not sure what you have read about West Yorkshire, but it is not populated with people roaming with knives and guns to attack random people so it must have been an organised attack by someone, no one suggested it was organised by a group but something has led to this bloke leaving home armed and attacking an MP, something which is thankfully rare in this country - not sure who or when last mp was killed (discounting those killed by the IRA).

So maybe it was an organised attack by an individual nut-job?

I wouldn't over-think the point.  I was simply referring to a likely consequence of the attack - at least in the short term - which is a reluctance of elected representatives to mix freely with the people who elect them.  It will create fear and will lead to barriers appearing that weren't there before.

And I'm not claiming any originality for the point.  It's all over the papers and on the radio.

Another thing that pisses me off.

Why do TV commentators always have to apologise for 'bad language you may have heard' - a la Joe Hart in the tunnel before the game yesterday.

Do they honestly think anyone is offended these days - especially with the Hound's liking for saying 'cunt' on GoT

TV commentators in general, especially football ones, and their fucking inane lads banter with the equally irritating pundits and co-commentators. I used to like watching games on the Red Button on BBC when you could choose to have radio, or no, commentary. I don't know if they still have it but it used to come in particularly handy when Jonathan Pearce was commentating.

It's the law/Ofcom guidelines. It's stupid, but they know it's stupid but have to do it.

On my ventures through the cyber world I often encounter people that get offended at words such as 'crap'. Naturally, they got told to grow the fuck up.

I find it funnier when post watershed programs contain warnings. Like The Walking Dead "this program contains scenes of violence".... well duh.

Andrew Strauss descibing KP as an absolute cunt, and not realising he was on air takes a bit of beating. However it doesn't seemed to have harmed his career prospects in cricket.

How old are you, I only ask as my brother is 48 and over at the Euro's at the moment and keeps posting selfies on Facebook - isn't 48 just too old for such things?

Selfie sticks should be banned. Bloody awful things. I hope you are going to have a long hard look at yourself (in a mirror, not via a selfie!)
