I wouldn't say it clashes, but it will bear a very strong resemblance to their colour of their end of the ground, and very little to ours
Indeed, we will be wearing their colours. Maybe it's all a cunning plan to confuse them and their fans, and when we dick them 5-0 it will all make sense.......

I will be wearing red. Oldest son will probably wear white. Youngest son may well be in black. All Swindon kits.
We will sing Red and White army just like we always do, and enjoy the day.
It is a strange decision but not one I will lose any sleep over.

The only possible explanation I can think of other than sponsorship commitments is that they are thinking it could be a hot day and that white might be more comfortable than red to play in. This could also explain the decision to play in white at Wycombe which was a warm day.
Having said that I agree with the majority that red is our colour and we should be playing in our traditional colours.

Tradition and identity. It was wrong for Fulham and even more wrong for this game. It doesn't make a whit of difference to the result, but it is part of our identity, part of what is Swindon Town. I assume you'd be quite happy for us to play in yellow at home and black and white stripes away next season? Because if it doesn't matter for this game, our biggest in 16 years, then it just doesn't matter at all.
perfectly put. Football is all about identity. Your club colours are an absolute integral part of that identity..start pissing about with the colours and you start to lose that identity. A club without identity is nothing.

Blackpool are wearing their away kit arent they? Apparantly the shorts clashed, so they decided to change the whole strip.

Tee-hee, touché
I stand by my point though. The colours we play in will make sod all difference to the outcome of the game, so I don't really understand the reason for complaining so much.
