My memory is that he was really quite a skilful midfield/wide player who contributed a lot to the League Cup winning team and beyond but almost always from the subs bench.

I recall that Peplow was signed during season 70 - 71 after the League Cup winning season, continuing to play in the team during the time it was destroyed by McKay.  The Town paid £20,000 for McKay, equivalent to a staggering £250,000, today.  The North Stand (John Trollope - Arkells), I recall cost something like £300,000 in the same season approaching £4,000,000 in today's value with inflation, yikes!

Keep seeing Swindon fans calling for an Egbo return on his tweets - surely he’s not required? Albeit Snowdon and McGregor both young but getting a 3rd RWB just feels greedy and your going to be leaving out more players/not even use Egbo.

I doubt Egbo would want to come back, seeing how the club messed him around for a few months and then basically paid him the least they could. There was no way he could’ve turned down Charlton’s offer at the end of the season

He has publicly spoken about his time at Swindon, and illustrated the early signs something was wrong with the administration

In the clubs defence, Egbo took the clubs offer. He could have said no. Egbo was desperate at the time after failing at NY Red Bulls 2 and we took a chance on him. He's hardly impressed since leaving, and he doesn't even have a club now. Says all you need to know about him.

So this is what Egbo has publicly said about leaving Swindon for clarity

“I went to ‘keep fit’ with Swindon in January 2022. From my second day there they said they wanted to offer me a deal if it was something I wanted. Two days later I told them I’d do it. They messed me around until March then I played for £500 a week.”

“In fairness to Swindon I don’t think there’s an amount they could have offered me that would have stopped me leaving for Charlton and I think probably everyone in the world could respect that decision.”
