In any business, you employ people in areas who DO know what they’re doing.

It depends what you're prioritising for, right?

With Angus, he was clearly a guy to get the fans onside.

With every appointment since, they've clearly been 'his' guys who he trusts and are loyal to him.

Football experience in both cases clearly secondary.

He'd hardly be the first boss to prioritise yes men over competence.

Looks to be their number one now.

Some parallels with this season in terms our fans opinions on keepers. I remember when Vigs played for us some of our fans rated the god awful Belford over him and said Belford should be starting instead, it was basically based on Belford saying nice stuff on Twitter. Pretty similar to this season with Ward where some seem to have this overinflated opinion of him based on how he is off the pitch.

Some of our social media fan base are absolutely thick as shit. Honestly, if I wasn't born in this town I think I'd hate us as well.

Ty, he was nice on Twitter so that meant he should be starting. They all went quiet after Scunthorpe away….

TBF I don't think its limited to our fan base, admittedly its anecdotal but from observation the vast majority of football fans on social media only seem to have  a limited engagement with the real world....

Sadly its one of the many things that are contributing to my really going off the sport....  although admittedly fans of other sports seem equally strange at times.

Scouse wasn’t he?

Apparently he appeared on the very first MotD to be broadcast in colour.

My memory is that he was really quite a skilful midfield/wide player who contributed a lot to the League Cup winning team and beyond but almost always from the subs bench.
