Gee, he was pretty average for us and was good competition for Bycroft yet Barden ends up playing three leagues below Bycroft now

Williams Kokolo joins Hannover 96 (Bundesliga 2) for reportedly €500,000 after a successful season at Laval (French 2nd Tier).

Tyrese Shade dropped into non-league with Eastleigh after leaving Swindon and the impressed, earning a contract with Burton Albion in League one.  I can see Wakeling doing something similar.

This would be the 2nd time for Wakeling

What a drop off he’s had!

If you look at the numbers his performances here were good but not breathtaking, Peterborough took a punt on him and if didn't work out, taking punts seems to be pretty much their modus operandi and I s'pose sometimes its works and sometimes it doesn't.

I thought he wasnt very good and then they did a Miles Storey on him by signing him to a long term contract because he scored a couple of goals in a row

I agree. Very over rated by Town fans IMO.

Wakeling was a lot better than Storey ever was.

He was decent for us. Scored a few goals (a couple of crackers too) however he was at that age where he needed to be playing regular first team football for his development.

Going to Peterborough to sit on the bench has basically stalled his career by 2 years.

I’m sure he wasn’t his choice but he’d have been better of staying here.
