Ronan Darcy scores the opener for Chesterfield in their 2 : 1 victory at Harogate.

Ronan showed great skill and patience in wrong-footing the defence several times before placing the ball in the net, the goal is well worth a look.

For me he was an absolute cunt and I have no time for him, blaming the fans for stuff that happened on the pitch and that carried on at FGR and then at Yeovil.

At Swindon, he came across as somewhat arrogant in interviews, which apparently wasn't that evident in person.  Yeovil had an ownership change over the close season, the new owners may have just waited for an opportunity to get rid of him.  Looking at the match highlights of both their games over the holiday weekend, they looked on their way back to National League South. Their playing staff seemed a lot more able and with greater depth last season, presumably with a larger budget.  It wasn't that long ago they were playing in the Championship.  At all of the clubs he has managed, poor performances were always down to the players, or factors beyond his control.  Overall, his sacking is not that surprising especially as the new owners had been reported as being at odds with some fans on social media.

Played nobody up front at Blades away (when they were shit)...we lost...no shots on target. Fans moaned and he said it was disrespectful. I Holloway doesnt go down this slippery slope!

Whereas that's a great reason to dislike somebody in my book.  The only ways to drink jaeger are mixed with mint liqueur or with a dash of Tabasco.

He looks like a good signing for the ex-Scummer's Wammies, but it is a little encouraging that Wellens didn't want to extend his contract at Leyton Orient.  Also, it seems the wrong time in his career to be dropping back to League Two.  All that said, he did look very good playing on loan for the Town before getting injured.

Luongo scored for Millwall yesterday in their win against Coventry. I didn’t realise he had rocked up there. Very pleased that he got some Premier League appearances with Ipswich last year that this career (and Ballon D’or longlisting) deserved.
