I know when Ritchie signed for Pompey he made a big thing about coming back closer to his home to finish his career.
He wasnt a big fan of travelling to Swindon daily previously and never moved to the area which was part of the reason he joined Bournemouth.
I cant see him being willing to travel too far from his home with possibly "basket case" club Reading being the closest viable destination if that is still the case.

100% on both counts But I am certain we can totally discount Ritchie as he will a. be well out of our budget and b. most probably go to a team much higher up the food, as you suggest never a realistic option. |
