Would've been better, imho, to let Reckord go and still bring in Stephens.

Or just let Reckord go....full stop....

Wow. Hadn't realised that a pretty much entirely forgettable loan signing by Lou Macari from Man U in his first season here was now a Premier League assistant manager.

The Old Trafford connection worked pretty well with Alan Mac Peter Coyne and Fraser Digby. Mark Dempsey? Not so much.....
Mark Dempsey was actually not bad for the town I thought, he was a bit lightweight in midfield but had a good shot and could pass a ball well.

I'll take your word for it. The lads knee is fucked regardless.

Been told he'll never play again. Poor lad, must be gutting to hear. His twin brother is a massive Town fan, Town End regular.

The 'nam manager was on the radio on Saturday prior to the game and he basically said it will be an achievement if the lad plays Sunday league football in the future, insinuating his career had basically come to an end.

Adam Rooney comes out on top as James Collins fails to score yet again as Hibs lose at home to Aberdeen. Hibs may well be very poor but I'm surprised Collins has only managed 6 goals all season for them. According to Soccerbase Rooney has managed 15 for Aberdeen and Oldham combined. Can hardly say either of them has really been missed at Swindon despite our lack of a consistent goal scorer. In fact I've barely seen Collins' name mentioned since he left which considering he did top score for us last year seems a bit surprising. But he never seemed to be regarded with great affection by any one here.

Christ that's dreadful, you don't expect that from football but there are some horrible injuries out there. Didn't realise Tom posted on here either.

Matt Ritchie scored twice against Reading. Muff could nick a playoff spot.

Unlike ourselves. Posh 2-0 up and that is that. Lets fuck over Brentford anyway, Douglas just put them 1-0 up.

Just read that Chris Martin has hit 20 so far this season for Derby. Maybe that Hitler-worshipping, mental, fascist cunt really did see something in someone who looked incapable of scoring regularly.

Think PDC got a bit stitched up in all fairness.  He probably thought he was going to get the real Martin who would have scored a shed load and reality he got a player coming back from injury who clearly wasn’t anywhere near match fit.

I think it's his split from Gwyneth, obviously his scoring boots were locked up in her closet until now.

He certainly didn't look like a 20 goal a season striker while with us, fair play to him as I know Norwich fans thought he was good before he came to us just that he never got a run in their team.

Surely a basic bit of that apparently legendary thoroughness ("Are you fully fit Chris?" "Not really, no") would have ascertained the situation. More likely, he knew he was getting a player returning from injury and gambled that an 80% fit Chris Martin would still be able to do the business at our level. But he was wrong.
