Alan Navarro has officially retired. Sad he couldn't get over his injuries.

Frank Nouble signs for Coventry in the last few mins after we rebuffed their final bid for Smith.

Nouble has to be one of the worst strikers I have seen in a Town shirt, maybe he has got better but I doubt it.

Coventry fans seem to think he will be a big hit there......they are half right, he is big.

They're more than half right. They're only one letter off.

Frighteningly similar to the Obika scenario though isn't it?

Obika was pretty awful in his first loan spell lacking enthusiasm and skill but I hope that was a. because he was younger and has progressed well b. he was playing under Paul Hart and c. he has a goals to games ratio of double Nouble with 23 goals from 122 games with Nouble getting 12 goals from 120 games.

Wasn't Obika highly rated at Yeovil?

More or less the only time he's done much when on one of his Yeovil loans....which to me suggest 2 things, namely (a) he doesn't necessarily need a big name club, and (b) he probably needs to feel some love.  He may well struggle to get (b) from some of our more mongular fans.....see the treatment of Mighty Michael Smith.

Rated by Skiverton who played him as a lone striker, not rated so much by Johnson who shipped him back for poor work rate and laziness and also because he was less effective in a partnership up front than playing solo.

Whenever I see Nouble he has been shite. Every side he goes to, they cannot get rid of him quick enough.

It's ironic that the Cov front two on Saturday chased and harried our back three for an hour before they were both subbed. I cannot see Nouble doing that in a million years.
