Did we not refer to him as Dave the first time around?

I have a nagging feeling we did

If not, he's certainly been nicknamed Dave since his Brentford days

Very odd, given how far out of contention he was even in crisis situations. More to that than meets the eye.

Also, did the Morecambe fans just happen on Dave spontaneously, or have they been peeking at the TEF?  Hmmm

Reference to the Big Dave Pot Noodle Ad ?

I think Batch is insinuating, which I also believe to be the truth, that if Toums played any mor eleague games then he was due a contract extension or a bonus. Not that he moved for money.

He only played 12 games for us, if he was due a bonus or extension after say 20 games, Phil Brown needs psychological treatment if he put a clause like that in.

Still its Swindon Town, and nothing would surprise me

could be appearance fee related. could be as Wellens said. who knows.

just seems odd at times of crisis not to have him on the bench.

Diagouraga and McGlashan were firmly out of favour and, for whatever reason in football, it's almost impossible to come back from that (even during injury crisis etc).

They only played in the EFL Trophy so scouts could watch them and I dare say that Derek Adams joining Morecambe helped Wellens out massively.
