Zakuani signs for Dagenham
Really good signing for that level.

Sad to hear he is deteriorating. I hope he can still maintain a decent quality of life for a while. Always liked Luggy

Most of the comments on there are defending him. They nearly all agree with his assertion that the fans were a disgrace.

Issue is with Cooper is that he never ever ever puts his hands up....always some other fuckers fault.

Spent a mint to go to the Blades and we didnt have a shot on goal that game....that was our fault for being disrespectful and having a moan.

I see Dave has played 2 90 minutes in a row for Morecambe and they’ve picked up 4 points from them. Must already be more than he ever managed to do for Town.

From the Morecambe fans...

They seem to like him.

Quote
I really like ‘Toums’ - he did the simple things but looked really assured. He looks a quality player.

Toumani was tremendous in midfield!

Big Dave (Toums) runs the show from the middle, been crying out for it for years.

closed down by Big Dave every time he got the ball. We stopped them from playing and took the game to them.

I've seen a couple of references to Dave/Big Dave. Is this, as it appears, a reference to Toumani Diagouraga, and if so, has he asked for or suggested this name? If it is, and he hasn't, can I suggest using 'Toums' as a nickname,as used in the article about his signing. It just seems a bit 'lazy little Englishman' using a totally English name for a foreigner with a long and clearly foreign name.

I think the general idea behind it is "that's a bloody well difficult name to say, we'll just call him Dave for short"

Rather suggests that the whole fitness thing was BS, unless Morecambe play bloody slowly!

Or have incredibly low standards and expectations seeing as they are Morecambe!

I thought 'lack of fitness' was an assumption. Didn't look that way against Chelsea U21 or Bristol Rovers.

It was his tackling that always petrified me!

Very odd, given how far out of contention he was even in crisis situations. More to that than meets the eye.

Also, did the Morecambe fans just happen on Dave spontaneously, or have they been peeking at the TEF?  Hmmm

The original use is Cesar Azpilicueta at Chelsea.... a club noted for racist fans, although it might have been John Terry.

Did we not refer to him as Dave the first time around?

I have a nagging feeling we did

If not, he's certainly been nicknamed Dave since his Brentford days
