This is a topic that means a lot to me. I am a cheese lover. Please note, a lover not an expert.
My current favourite is a delicate Blue Brie. I also have a soft spot for White Stilton, and Leerdammer accompanied by a spiced apple chutney.
My recent cheese on toast triumph involved smoked cheddar, parmesan (without which no fridge is complete - often my fridge contains nothing more than cheese, white wine and lager...) and mozzarella, with a sprinking of black pepper. Lovely.
No lists, no contests, just a thread for fellow cheese lovers to share their thoughts.

Don't think he did, but Danny strike me as a Red Leicester or possibly Double Gloucester kind of bloke.

To get back to the subject in hand. Cheese is indeed ace. I consider it an essential food group.
A bit of brie, left out to warm up all day, is irresistibly delicious. As is just nibbling a lump of strong stilton.
When I was working at my dad's place I used to uncontrollably nibble on all the manchego (hard sheeps cheese) and the lovely creamy tetilla (hehe. small breast.)
There was a really nice pungent blue cheese I used to devour at every oppertunity too, but I can't remember what it was called.

La Peral was the blue cheese. Smelly but lush.
mahon and idiazabal were pretty tasty too.

Isnt that question just a rip off from a radio 1 show? Cheese is the bee's knee's tho. Has anyone tried chilli flaked cheese? Its the nutz. |

What radio 1 show? Spacey's been asking STFC related people their cheesey preference for ages. I've got a vague yet bizarre memory of asking a confused Bill Power on Phil Emmel's(?) phone at a trust meeting. |

I think its the news reader guy from the Chris Moyles show. He interviewed lots of celebs and always asked what thier fav cheese was. Seriously tho, chilli flaked cheese cant be beat!!! |
