CIBOCCHI TO SWINDON TOWN
July 17, 2011 08:45 - Ivano Mari - Source: Radio Galileo - cod.292746
The former court rossoverde Paolo Di Canio After the good experience in Serie B, with 17 games with Portsmouth Agostinelli on the bench, when it seemed no one believed in him, Alexander again for a new adventure. And 'yesterday, in fact, the news of the signing of the contract which ties him for two seasons to the society of Swindon Town, whose team will be coached by Paolo Di Canio. and prepare for his season in the withdrawal of Norcia. In short, a great opportunity for Alexander Cibocchi that after the redemption of last season, now seeking reappointment while away from Italy. Good luck!
I was reading some Italian sites in the week for some Di Canio/Swindon goss, I liked it when they called us 'i ferrovieri' - the railwaymen.

I think Boa Morte is one of the mega earners at West Ham, £90k a week!

PDC has used the Italian links well but am surprised that he hasn't used his English contacts a little more. Might find out a little more come Tuesday at Supermarine.

I was thinking that, but then I remind myself we've brought in Smith, Devera, Connell and De Vita all from UK sides. And Risser came from a Finnish side. So it's not like we're being overrun with Italians, even if it does seem like it!

Thing is that his contacts are mostly Premier league managers and anything we get will be on loan.Spurs for example have not signed anyone yet so not likely to let us have anyone just yet

DRS is right RE: Premier League contacts. The Italian influx is nowhere near as worrying as some are making out. English wise, Raffa De Vita is extremely fluent to the point that the guy has a Scottish twang. Comazzi has a more than adequate grasp of the language considering that he's never played outside of Italy. After that, there are only two others! Hardly the mafia Ability wise, well there's no point in speculating because we need to see them play in League Two.

Things will start to move once the big transfers have been completed i.e. Tevez et al.
It's like a massive game of "football transfer kerplunk". One big transfer triggers lots of little moves for the sides lower down the leagues...even if they are loans.

I wasn't making out that we had too many Italians, I was merely saying that it's a surprise he hasn't used his English contacts a little more...yet. I don't care who we sign...I want a team ready for the fight with promotion high on the priority list!!

Also West Ham havent seen alot of transfer activity either. Obviously Di Canio is highly regarded there - no idea if he still has any contacts there though. Maybe once they've sold off their big earners/good players and know which youth/reserve players might actually get a game next season.
