I've no particular issues with Tafazioli - if Delaney wants away / IH won't play him, then an experienced CB is needed given Ball / Clarke's propensity to pick up injuries.

I'm not particularly enthused by the signing of Palmer - as I recall he is quite slow, and suggests IH wants to revert to the hoofball again.

I'd have preferred a decent midfield player with the part of the Ameen money being used on Palmer.

I think the Smith injury is a good reminder that footballers should pretty much always strike while their metaphorical iron is hot for their careers, as much as it pains fans. For every player who stays another year and gets a better move there will be more who get injured or lose form - a few years back Minturn had serious interest from Middlesbrough, since then he's barely played a game for two years.

He's played just one League Cup game against Stoke. They lost 5-0. That was just over a year ago. Almost to the day.

To be fair Hunt is only just 18 now so not much of a surprise he's not been near the first team.

Minturn was the original target, and a move wasn’t far off for the summer then he got injured in a Tuesday night game.

Not sure I believe that…bit bizarre if that was the case.

Minturn has (imo anyway) never looked anything more than ok at L2 level.
Where as Hunt looks extremely calm, measured & composed at this level the second he stepped foot on the pitch. Just had this air of someone who belonged rather than a young player who needed to learn his trade.

Minturn has always felt more like potential that’s never been realised due to not getting enough first team games, not getting a decent loan move & injuries.
