The lack of minutes over the past three years is a bit concerning. Based on the fact that he managed to get a move to Hull in the championship, I imagine he’s much better than the level he’s playing but he just can’t stay fit. |

Seems a tad too good for L2 level. Played in PL for Villa - albeit only once.
27 games on loan at Real Union last season in Spain.

Seems like a typical profile of many a L2 signing. Come through PL academy, loans at lower level clubs and released after a couple of years pro contract.
Real Union relegated from Spanish div 3 last season.

Seems to be loan according to twitter chat.
There was some talk of when his contract expires, but it seems he's signed an extension and wasn't in the released list
I guess we'll see soon.

Allegedly highly rated at Villa so I assume it would be a loan.
As always with these loans, assume they won’t be here past January 1st and any contribution is a bonus. If they see Kirkman as more of a LCB than LWB then it’s a role we need to fill but if they’re going to compete against eachother and it is a loan then selfishly I’d rather us put time into Kirkman as he seems to have some decent potential to grow.
Regardless though we need reinforcements down the left so not to be sniffed at.
