That article suggests we've turned down 750k which I'd be... surprised by. Especially if that's guaranteed!
Didn’t Holloway say that none of the bids were in 6 figures? I guess that could have been up front cash, with the rest being in add-on’s

Anything above 750k would make him our biggest sale since the Mark Cooper days?

Not if its including add ons, Harley Hunts transfer was up £1.5m last season including add ons.

I suspect that is what they are looking for for Ameen

I think it was 500k straight up, rising to 1.5M. Depends what sort of deal we get for Ameen but i’d expect it to be bigger than Hunt’s last summer.

At the moment it doesnt exceed much more than £100k up front and 2 championship teams are said to have offered that but add ons take the fees up. Holloway himself stated the fee was not more than £100k up front.

Doesn’t matter how much ‘we’ get for Ameen, up front, add ons or sell on. ‘we’ won’t see fuck all of it. The club is like a seaside arcade coin pusher machine. Think Tipping Point if you’re struggling. What goes in is not what comes out in a tangible sense.

Yeah, good backup, especially now because he won't be asked to fart around with the ball as much.

Yeah, good backup, especially now because he won't be asked to fart around with the ball as much.
Playing out from the back is not a strength of his, and not necessary for a Holloway team. Maybe, Bycroft wanted a move because of his ability was not being fully utilized. Bycroft is in my opinion is a decent enough goalkeeper as a shot-stopper and playing it out from the back but wasn't a good enough fit for this side including not consistently finding the front three with longer clearances. Too many long balls going out for opposition throw-ins seemed to occur.

Maybe, Bycroft wanted a move because of his ability was not being fully utilized. I suspect he wanted a move as at his age if he isn't playing regularly his career in the league would be in danger of fizzling out, potentially very quickly drop off the radar if just bench warming.
