I think there are quite a few clubs on the hunt for those elusive strikers and those are the players you pay the big bucks to to make that statement. I know the fella Kabongo Tshimanga from Borehamwood is highly sought after with 9 football league clubs after him. 24 years old, quick and powerful and scored 1 in 2 in non-league.
Ben Chorley will have done his homework and we'll definitely have new strikers in, but maybe closer to the window slamming shut.
There are a few non league players that are attracting interest from league club, Tshimanga and the 6 foot 9 centre forward at Solihull called Kyle Hudlin who has been scouted closely by Cardiff and Sheff Weds.
There are a few experienced strikers out there on frees too, here are a few. Nicky Ajose Kieran Agard Nicky Maynard Kyle Vassell Lee Novak Shaun Miller Leon Clarke Sone Aluko Elias Kachunga Junior Hoilett Sam Baldock Marley Watkins Yannick Bolasie Obviously some of those will be way out of our price range wage wise but they are all without clubs (at the moment). |

I doubt we will see any of those but they are of a fair calibre and all frees still, so players are out there and available. I would like one young striker on loan such as Windsor from WBA and one more experienced one in the mold of Doyle or Pitman but without the wage(Doyle)/attitude(Pitman) of those two. |

Noted on twitter that Ipswich are on the point of signing 2 new strikers. Whether that means Norwood and Jackson now available, I don't know, but it seems odd if Simpson, who was not playing, was the only one being looked at ten days ago......
