Good news.

Apparently a striker could be arriving tomorrow as well.

Did anyone else listen to the PB Adver live interview?
Quite interesting.

-Hope to sign defender today (already covered), playing at championship club
-Seems Power is talking to an out and out goalscorer or two (presumably not MAF).
-JSW not dominant enough (header), not just wanting a ball player.
- Full back cover -  Ellis and Dunne in place if necessary (+ Romanski LB, + Taylor) so not overly bothered.  But if another comes up that can cover both...Would rather CB that can cover full back
- Aiden Flint money filtered down? Don't know, the Chairman hasn't said no to anything yet. I do know it's not as much as people think (used Huddleston as an example as a fee anounced at £2.5M, but that it was 150K up front with add ons, etc making up the rest. So % sell on not as much)
- Building for future or shit or bust season? Look at history and see if players can give something at higher level.
- Budget 1.5M - looking at 7th or 8th in table but ours or others January transfer activities could put us up or down..Last year finished 2.6M and didn't even get us a playoff spot...
- Are the players up to physical fight? - get the question, but the game has changed a bit. Set pieces will play massive part, as per World Cup. But we need those kind of VAR decisions being given at lower level (not VAR). But the phsicality has changed
- Long ball or passing out the back? we'll pass if we can, go long if we can't. more than one way to skin a cat and we'll use plan A, B C & D
- What can you do to bring x factor back to the club? Think the footballing side will take care of his self. The winning side, will meet you half way, applause and support us before booing Smiley fans can play part
- refs? not consistent but its still good standard. Got to respect them, understand they'll make mistakes. We'll make mistakes too...
- Do you prefer Southend Peer. Hulls Humber bridge or the magic roundabout ? hahaha was singing Elvis "caught in a trap" when we went onto it yesterday (carpool karaoke). ..Got to say Magic roundabout!

Power supposedly in talks with a striker who has a good goal-scoring record.

Ben Wills has said:-
‘I've been told of one who that would apply to. Would be another Championship loanee along with that CB. Been in League 2 before and did very well‘

Nelson sounds decent enough. Can’t think I’m the only one not bothered in the slightest about Fortune.

How is Twine going to get his chance?

That was just a named branded about, not definite.
Ben Wills has given his height as a hint 5ft 11’’, which rules out Taylor.
