On twatter Tractor Boys @WeAreIpswich 26m GK Wes Foderingham of #STFC is reportedly set to sign for #ITFC in the coming says with talks between the clubs progressing. Would he be such a massive loss ?

Anything over 500k and we should sell, goalies are easier to replace than say strikers.

Belford's a decent replacement. Surprised Ipswich want him though.

On twitter Would he be such a massive loss ? Generous of you to post that here for free. Most people are selling their rumours to Desperate Sam these days.

On twitter Would he be such a massive loss ? Yes. People seem to have become very complacent about Foderingham recently. It's as if no-one remembers the long sequence of erratic goalkeepers and errors that preceded him. The number of one-on-one saves he pulls off over the course of a season make him the equivalent of a 20 goal striker.

On twatter Would he be such a massive loss ? Nothing at all on any of the Ipswich forums yet, hopefully its just a twatter rumour with no substance because Wes has been a bit inconsistant but is comfortably our best keeper since Digby and Given.

Of course we'd miss him, he's a damn good keeper, and will only get better. People seem to forget he's only 21/22.

Is he? Sell the old bastard then It was his 23rd birthday on Tuesday, he has so much potential but he does lose a bit of concentraition in some games but with good coaching he will be a very good keeper certainly good enough for Championship level. I know Power rates him highly and wouldnt sell for less than his current market value which must be in excess of £500k.

I'm with Brucey. We'll miss him if he goes (unless we've been fortunate enough to unearth another gem in Belford, of course) - Wes is well above the ordinary run of the mill

Even the shakier one had glimpses of good stuff. He's a good keeper, just needs run in a first team somewhere. Hopefully (with all respect) not ours as Wes is our first choice and rightly so. Agree with Chatwin a good keeper is as important as a 20 goal a season striker. Even this season where he's not looked quite his best, he's still kept us in matches. If he does go he'll be missed. It all depends just how big a fee we get for him...
