Austin wouldn't hack Paolo's training.

Dare I say it. Austin with Paolo di Canio's pre-season. Not sure his attitude suits the di Canio style. Nor would he drop down to league one. A few points.....I don't think Austin could take PdC's training regime with his damaged shoulder, Austin would not drop a division to play for us, I doubt h would want to sign for us again after a lot of the rumours about his private life that have been posted all over the place and most importantly I doubt very much we can offer him a reputed £12,000 per week ( ) when next season we will still be under a wage cap as it comes into force in League 1 and League 2 next season.

Quite possibly, either way it puts him well out of price range for wages in that league. Will change the original post

Austin's scored 16 goals in the Championship hasn't he? Burnley wouldn't want to let him go and if they did, it would be for mega bucks. And Austin wouldn't want to drop to L1 any way. Why are we wasting time even talking about him? On another note, I have it on very good authority that a car was spotted at the County Ground recently with the number plate 'S LO MAS' Just saying

The only real interest is do we have a sell on clause? I suspect not.

I would be very surprised if we didn't, Mr Fitton was very good at adding those clauses into contracts.

Lomas and Di Canio played together at West Ham for 4 years.
Old friends having a catch up.
