I'm sure I've explained this before but "FUD" is a Scottish slang term for a Vagina, generally used as a derogatory term.

I'm sure PV will have used this expression before, or maybe even have been accused of being one Smiley
I am sure I have at some point Smiley and more than likely been called one many times!

Tis indeed very Jockenese!

At my mates in Dundee 3 weeks ago we discussed this very same word when his wife called my daughter a fud!

Woolrey’s agent is Palios wife, well her sports agency anyway.

My slight doubt is that he was also deemed not fit or not ready to start more than 15 times for Bolton last season, and we know how desperate they were for senior players.

I expect Bolton picked their team last season based on who didn’t have or had the lowest appearance fees.

Wasn’t in Stephen Ireland himself who basically said Bolton never played him because of the appearance fee in his contract?

I was wrong - it was the previous year he made 15 apps at Bolton. Last year he made precisely 0 apps at Birmingham.

According to the Adver

SWINDON Town have added experience to their defensive ranks with the signing of Jonathan Grounds.

The 32-year-old, who played four times in the Premier League for Middlesbrough, has signed until the end of the season ahead of Saturday’s trip to Blackpool.

Wellens must be pretty confident about Grounds. He won’t have watched him play recently (because he hasn’t played). He’s 32, and appears to have had a poor part-season at Bolton the season before. It seems an odd choice on paper when all we need is a competent centre back that stays fit, especially if it comes at the cost of Broadbent’s career.

There’s also a (completely unsubstantiated) suggestion on the Adver site that Doughty left in protest of the handling of Broadbent. I suspect this is rubbish, but who knows.

I imagine he'll be cheap as chips, which is quite an important consideration with significantly reduced match day revenue.

I can't be bothered to check the dates but note that Grounds spent some time at Oldham, would he have overlapped with Wellens there or somewhere else?

Doyle gave us Caddis so perhaps Caddis put in a good word for Grounds having played alongside him at Birmingham?

Or he's just a good ol' fashioned scouted or calculated risk signing.
