Carlisle fans reckon he’s been a lazy arsed bastard until this transfer window opened!
Reckon he’ll be good in a better team than them.

Hallam Hope confirmed permanent deal.
My favourite word in that sentence is 'permanent'...

So, I take it Hope will be a replacement for Yates then? (Or just keeping Yate's place warm, perhaps?)

It sounds like his main goal scoring output has come when playing wide left, which is where he will play for us. I'm happy with this signing. If we can get another striker on loan before Saturday then even better, but it at least bulks up numbers for the Vale game.

But but we never follow the model of paying for a player in a transfer window... At least it isn't Viv or Bob Hope. Let's face it, forgetting about Doyle or even Yates for a minute; had Hallam Hope been one of our signings at the start of the season, I would've been happy. I think if he can manage somewhere between a rate of 1:3 (6) and 1:2 (9) that'll be a good return. Closer to 1:2 would be nicer. If Wellens and the current squad could get him the same provision that was to GP and YP then 13 or 14 would be a fantastic return. IF we do add Doyle (or Grigg) to this, over the next 9 days then we'd have to be pretty much in some kind of shaft stroking eutopia. Shirley?

In short, I'm guessing no. We've been after him since the summer, was heavily linked earlier this week before Yates was recalled and was, presumably, the forward thinking player RW spoke about last week.

I think Hope was on his way anyway, Yates started the season up top on his own, reckon Wellens prefers him there, so was looking for more wide attacking options anyway.
