Very odd! Does put into question that Birmingham game when Krastev appeared to forget to dive for a couple of the goals.

The source is clearly Krastev's agent.
I'd be extremely surprised if Swindon have pulled out of this after the 100% completion of the signing. They'll be in a spot of bother otherwise.
Krastev has essentially wasted his summer, which is unfortunate, but nature of the beast in this football racket.
Town don't need four goalkeepers, they do need players elsewhere and I dare say that the failure to offload McGlashan and Diagouraga hasn't helped this situation.

I don't see how a club can pull out of a contract.

Something doesn't add up about it for me. If he had signed along with Doughty surely his signing would have been announced 'subject to international clearance ' like any other signing in the history of football that requires international clearance?

Wouldn't be surprised if the agent didn't submit the paperwork, and is trying to cover his tracks. The old "it would be signed by the first game" isnt any use to anyone. Sure the club will comment and clear up.

Maybe there was a verbal understanding that subject to international clearance a contract would be offered. Since that ‘verbal offer’ international clearance has not materialised or has been rejected or Krastev has not proved himself enough to have a contract period.

I think the term 'unethical' equates to 'poor form'. The source would have said scarier things 'illegal', 'breach', 'YOU'RE IN BIG FUCKING TROUBLE' if there was something in this.
Club probably started paying for stuff when they were going along the road of wanting to sign him.
Just pay the hotel costs etc and move on.

Agreed. Unethical is just moaning. He would have gone in a lot harder if Town were actually in breach of anything.

Club referred to him as in trial in every game he played. I don't think he was ever actually signed but had maybe agreed terms if he was successful. Hopefully the club clear it up, we'll hear from Wellens today or tomorrow anyway with the Coventry friendly.

He was shit, there is no way we would have offered him a contract before we had played him in several games, which he did. He was shocking and this sounds like his agent trying to stir up shit after we had him on trial for so long.
Up there with RCC for level of goalkeeping.
I am sure the club will have evidence stating he never signed a full time contract, storm in a Bulgarian tea cup.

I believe that Town did offer the contract.

Even if he did sign the contract, I'd bet my bottom dollar there's a clause saying the contract can be terminated immediately if international clearance isn't forthcoming.
