Would love Anthony Grant in, Rodgers out and target man in, Obika out (love the bloke but he's never available).

Gut feeling is we are probably done now though.

The club haven't tweeed they are and with 7 loans, I am hoping that 1/2 will be made a permanent to get it down to manageable level. Power is in the country too so chances are there might be something else happening

Decent day, couldn't give a flying fuck about the loan v permenent signing issue.

Worry about next season once we hopefully stay up, given ourselves a decent shout of staying up and that's all I'm concerned about right now.

Spot on. Much more confident that we will pick up enough results to stay up. Would still like to be greedy and get another striker in but content with today

Don't most clubs come out with the 'our business is done' statement? Maybe someone else.

We need not just to survive but some how put in a decent run in towards the end of the season. Season ticket sales will be awful if a sense of optimism for next season is to be installed into the fans loans for me don't really do that as we know most will disappear. Powers does not appear to have a huge amounts of money to buy new players. We have only two players left worth selling in my opinion Thompson (who has come out with the old chestnut of not wanting to talk about contracts because he is focusing on survival, more like keeping ya options open) and then vigs who to be honest looks thoroughly pissed off after every game and is who is arguably the best keeper in our league. As for this developing philosophy we don't keep them long enough to build a team around them.

The last 10 pages of this aren't too far off the FB in pointless whining. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

An experienced proven goal scorer and a brute of a midfielder with 60+ Champ apps and most of us still whinging. Our team, and squad, is much stronger than 2 weeks ago.

Is it enough? Should be more than enough but toxicity of club, staff and fans may deem decent additions redundant.

two issues in play pp

the now - great signings. couldn't ask for more.

the future - less clear, a lot of people are fed up with dross in summer, bail out in January of the last two seasons. obviously an issue now due to st window opening soon.
----
fwiw I think this window had been as good as I'd hoped. would have liked one or two more at the back in the ince mould, but I doubt we have the budget.

long term, well, less convinced, but will worry about that in the summer. the question of whether the model will be tweaked should be asked to power, though he can't win with whatever he says as some simply have gone past the point of believing him.

When you analyse it the squad isn't actually that much stronger....of course a goalscorer is more than welcome, becasue as things were going we were down. However we've lost 4 and gained 7, but of the 7, 6 are on loan and with Jones presumably a fixture if fit we can only use 4...so you could argue we've lost 4 and gained 5, as 2 will be redundant. The squad is still hopelessly unbalanced, with too many lightweight players. It's at least a sticking plaster, but this will be an extremely tough 3 months, so we'll see.
