How do you know there's been a lack of urgency? Do you think they can get the right players/clubs/agents to agree to their terms and conditions when it suits them?

That's why I am not going mental like others are, there is obviously urgency going on but for whatever reason the players we might have been trying to bring in haven't happened, Ajose happened at the last minute as he was waiting for a better offer so could be the same this time, Swindon isn't exactly a great place to want to go if you're a player in demand so they could be holding out for a better wage / club to give them another option, the players have the upper hand in discussions.

The Ajose thing has another angle in that, having been here before and left, he doesn't effing want to come back. A lot of people seem to talk about these deals as if once acceptable money's on the table the deal's happened and there aren't any other factors.

I'm at the stage where I donlt really give a fuck whether we sign anyone or not. I have no faith whatsoever in our ability to buy / loan anyone who can turn this load of shite around. Even if we get bodies don;t forget they've still got to play with a load of shite, managed / coached by a load of shite. Life is a lot simpler having given up any hope of staying up. Saying that I'll be at Rovers Saturday.
I would imagine a combination of lack of decent player / leader / scorer and a loss at home to the Scum would be incredibly toxic. One likely the other inevitable.

Quote from: Super Hans
I'll keep the knives away until Feb 1st but genuinely worry about this side. Mainly because there simply isn't enough goals in it and the fact were always likely to cave in during any given fixture.

I fear only the shitness of other sides can save us, which isn't a ringing endorsement.

nicely summed up

It's almost as if we've never signed a decent player.

I've been a season ticket holder for 150 years and I disagree

I'm with Chalkie....except I will be at a wedding on Saturday.. Pox tickets purchased out of hope..

We need some steel and for the best will in the world, kids on loan are not going to give us that.

Few days to go to see if we will make a fist of it or not.
