He's only played 45 minutes this season due to fitness issues and just been released by a Championship team in absolute free fall. No, thank you.

If he doesn't play then no loss but having someone like him as someone for Branco and Jones to learn from would be good, like when we had Ricketts and El-Abd...... just being on the training pitch can have massive effect.

It is a loss if you are wasting the playing budget on a non-player.

We need experience, he has it....... wages won't be that big considering he is so injury prone so to me it's a gamble that's worth taking..... we are wasting budget on a non-player at the moment (Sharpe) but this other guy would actually be useful for us.

If he was worth having, Bristol City would be keeping him. They are in a relegation battle and have an absence of centre halfs, yet don't want him. Says it all.
It's not even a rumour anyway!

I really wouldn't worry about the merits or not of signing a Swedish international defender who has played the last 7 years (since he was 21) in either the PL, Serie A or the Championship....

Because good players can't become clapped out/perma-injured ? *Jonathan Woodgate* As if signing for a struggling league 1 team that pays peanuts isn't his life ambition.

And also paying Thompson and Obika (I suspect two of our bigger earners) for actually playing around 1 game a month each?

Why isn't it a rumour? I saw City release a CB, we need a CB and I put 2+2 together and put his name forward. That follows the rumour rule book does it not

why would we want another injury prone player we have enough now that are all like glass. We must have the softest bunch of players in this league and another one we don't want and I cant believe people are even suggesting it on here.
we want good hardened pro's that have been there and done it and can carry our team through a game we only need two good pro's one defensively and one in midfield and i'm surprised we haven't got one in yet. Im wondering if what we've heard from LP and TS if its all a smoke screen and I wonder whether we will get experienced players in or not or more kids because in our position and the crap we are playing we need them now and not the end of January as we always do and then we get the left overs that no one wants.
This has been the most depressing season I can remember - no atmosphere in the CG - crap team on the pitch - poor away followings and Power banning the local press it is all depressing stuff. To cap it all we need to win 10 more games to stay up and with this current squad we have no chance so unless LP wants L2 football he has to bite the bullet and get some quality players in.
