Having read a couple of quick articles about this lad sounds like he is a better midfield player than defender. Played more left midfield for fulham's development team, so maybe more a Roberts replacement?
With the lad barthram who seems to have been signed (according to his twitter) we seem covered at full back without byrne, subject to caddis' future of course, or even that of JMac

I am a little concerned by the fact he's only had 3 caps in his entire career, despite spending loan spells at Stevenage and Orient.

BBC ran the Smith story this morning, said Crawley and Oldham were interested in Luke and Adam Rooney respectively and said there were 3 Banbury trialists amongst 7.
Kmac then wobbled on about there being no rush to sign anyone and something about us being in the position of having to sign people on less money than the ones that would be leaving so we need to make sure we get the right ones. --- Hope we get some proper signing soon to ignight some enthusiasm,

Tbf if he was signed as a left winger then his competition was Luke Freeman, who is a tidy little player. also I'm not sure when he signed for them, but Westley is hardly known for playing football is he? Kmac's set up is totally different... different players fit different systems. I think it's harsh, although not surprising, that he's being written off already. Just remember, we'd all heard and were excited about Gary Roberts!

Seems quite a smallish player so imagine he didn't fit into Stevenage's long ball style of play!

Good shout! I looked the dates up, Smith joined Stevenage 28th March and Westley came back on the 30th March. Sounds like Smith fell victim to the change of manager, hence why no appearances for them.

Incoming transfer news from club to be announced this afternoon.
Assume it will be Smith, maybe the lad Barthram as well

@AndyWarren_: Swindon Town's on trial goalkeeper is believed to be Frenchman Yannick Nlate, who has spent time at Stoke as well as a few non-league clubs.
Yannick Nlate (goalkeeper) – A towering 6’4½” tall 21 year-old who played for Red Star ’93, Lens, and Creteil-Lusitanos in his native France.

Why do we need another keeper?

We might not necessarily want him, he might just be on trial to see if he's better than Bedders.

Times are really are changing, no scarf above head shots but holding a shirt up.
Bartham, 1 year deal with option for further year.
