i got the ferry from anglesey when i went, was a nice trip and stayed in a pub in dublin - was for my 21st and thoroughly enjoyed it.

angelsey is an island just off north wales. nice place.
fishguard (sw wales) to rosslare (se eire) is about 90 minutes on the seacat, so i doubt that angelsey to dublin would be much longer - probably shorter.
i've been to ireland twice, both times on the south coast near cork and waterford, lovely places

i think the ferry took less than 2 hours and taxis to city centre were fairly easy, although i can imagine it's easier to fly from Bristol nowadays.
